WWDC 2024 Results

The 2nd annual Wedding Warehouse Design Competition hosted by AA Tents and Events took place this past Saturday, January 6, 2024. When we saw the theme was 50 shades of pink, we knew we wanted to do something both bright and colorful but also a bit gothy and moody. We utilized our black, cathedral arches paired with handmade stained glass candle votives and iridescent glassware topped with playful pink cotton candy made fresh by Buffet’s Candies.

We made a nod at our name Luna y Sol with the stained glass place settings calligraphied with our past brides’ names 😘💖 We chose various shades of pink, purple, and burgundy blooms and arranged them inspired by a gothic cathedral garden. Touches of hand painted silk anthurium were added as the cherry on top. We started calling her Barbie and the Beast hehe!

From AA Tents and Events we chose their 4x8’ descanso tables paired with their cafe brown Tuscan chairs. For the tablescape we went with their classic glass water goblets, clear dinner plates, black cutlery (omg the way these reflect light!!), burgundy satin napkins, and their mint green silver mercury votives all set along satin draping and organza runner.

We appreciate everyone who voted for our design. We were awarded FIRST PLACE!! What a way to begin the new year. We are tickled pink!
